Thanks for the positive feedback. My goal is to provide professional quality services at a reasonable price. Many people cannot afford to invest $1000 or more in their family or pet portraits, and I completely understand that. Packages of products, prints and/or downloads can also be made available to decrease your cost slightly more.
Sitting still is not a problem with either option. As you can probably tell from my portfolio, I try to capture a combination of posed shots and "kids being kids" shots. I like to be able to capture kids playing with their toys and having fun. With studio-style shots, the lights "flash" for such a short duration that they will freeze the movement of your grandchildren. In an outdoor location, I can also easily capture actions shots of the kids playing.
The choice between outdoor and studio pictures really boils down to what you want the final product to look like. With either, I will come to you (your home or a scenic/interesting location of your choice). There are advantages and disadvantages to both types of shoots. Studio-style photos allow for much more control over the light and final look of the photos but require much more set-up time. Location shoots require less equipment and set-up time but are somewhat dependent on weather and time of day/available light.
With either option, you will get high quality professional photographs. I'm sure you would be happy with either; it really depends on which style of photograph you prefer.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I love your photos, and your prices seem reasonable. I’ll be sure to contact you the next time I need photos of my grandkids. For kids, do you recommend studio photos or outdoor photos? My grandson doesn’t sit still very long!
Thanks, Melody. I appreciate the kind words. At this point, my business is a little small in terms of staff for weddings. I want to make sure that I'm the best I can be at what I do. Right now I'm trying to concentrate on the pet and family portrait side of my business. If all goes well, in a year or so, I might be more prepared to move into weddings.
